“marketers and PR professionals at companies of all sizes need to add blog literacy to their skill sets.” – EMarketer June 2005
Emarketer reports that about 5.8% of Fortune 500 firms blog. The number is growing. It’s easier for your business to make an impact now than it will be in a future, more crowded blogsphere. 14% of people on the Internet read blogs. They are most often white collar workers and business owners.
Every day about 80,000 new blogs are created. That’s a new blog every second.
Even if you don’t blog, your business should use Technorati to track what influential bloggers are saying about your business or brand.
Blake Snow will speak at U|Tech about blogging for business. I recently spoke with Rob Merrill a technical recruiter who blogs to find qualified candidates for jobs. Meet and network with other successful bloggers like him at U|Tech.
